We are pleased that you are interested in Galactic Future. Protecting your data is important to us. This policy explains which personal data is processed when playing the game and visiting these pages, for what purpose, and on what legal basis.

The game itself can be played in full without any personal data being transmitted to us. Two features are optional and independent of each other: anonymous usage statistics and the player account with the online leaderboards. You alone activate both of them.

When visiting these pages

When you access this website, your device transmits technically necessary data such as your IP address, the date and time of access, as well as information about your browser and operating system. This data is used solely to ensure the secure and stable delivery of the website. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure operation (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). It is stored for only a few days and then deleted.

Usage statistics in the game (optional)

To help us improve Galactic Future, the game can collect anonymous usage data. This happens only if you have previously given your explicit consent. The game will ask you about this when you first start it; without your consent, no such data will be collected or transmitted. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

The following may then be collected, for example: game actions and events, your progress in building colonies, factories and research, a rough description of your game state, crash reports for troubleshooting, general device information, your IP address and an approximate region derived from it, as well as timestamps. This data is assigned to a random device identifier - not to your name. It is processed on a server of Jappy GmbH in Germany and not shared with advertising networks or other third parties.

You can withdraw your consent at any time in the game settings; data collection will then stop immediately. You can also request a copy of the data stored for your device via the game at any time (Art. 15 GDPR) or request its deletion (Art. 17 GDPR). The data is stored until you withdraw your consent or request deletion; beyond that, only anonymous analyses that cannot be linked to you remain.

Player Account and Leaderboards (optional)

You may voluntarily create a player account in order to enter your results in the online leaderboards. The account is only created once you choose a nickname yourself. The legal basis is the performance of this function requested by you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

The account includes: your chosen nickname, your rankings in the individual leaderboards, the time of your last activity, as well as your IP address and an approximate region derived from it. Your nickname and your result are publicly visible to other players in the leaderboards. Therefore, choose a nickname that does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your identity, and do not enter any personal data there.

You can delete your account at any time in the game. Deleting it removes your account data and your leaderboard entries; it also serves as the means of access and deletion under Art. 15 and 17 GDPR.

In-App Purchases (optional)

Galactic Future is free and offers optional in-app purchases. Payment is processed by Google Play; your payment data (such as credit card or account details) is processed exclusively by Google and is not transmitted to us. We only receive confirmation from Google that a purchase has been made so that we can unlock the purchased feature for you. The legal basis is the performance of the purchase contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Google’s privacy policy applies to payment processing.

Children

Galactic Future is designed to be harmless in terms of content. However, the two data-processing functions — usage statistics and player account — are not intended for children under 13 years of age. Anyone younger can still play the game in full and without restriction; however, no usage data will be collected and no account will be created.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 years of age. If we become aware that such data has nevertheless been received by us, we will delete it.

These pages are automatically machine-translated into your language as needed. The German version is binding; in the event of discrepancies or ambiguities, the German text shall prevail.

Your Rights
